7th Grade Woodworking Safety - Language Arts

I have created a eBook for you that introduces the machines that you will be using this year. Please read the book to become familiar with our machines.

Language Arts Activity:

Using Panraven, each student will create their own eBook to share with the class.

1. Introduce the topic of eBooks and show the completed eBook above.
2. Sign into the Panraven account and show the book from the creation side.
3. Have the student pick a topic in relation to Woodworking and Safety. Here are some examples:
   1. General Safety
   2. Machine Safety
   3. A historical look at safety or the machines
   4. A step by step manual
4. Students should create an outline of their topic and submit it for approval.
5. Once their topic have been approved, students should research and compile information and images for their eBook.
6. Have the students sign up for a Panraven account.
7. Demonstate Panraven on how to upload and add content.
8. Allow student a set period of time to compile their eBook.
9. When eBook is complete, student should email the link to the instructor.
10. Review all eBooks with the class and offer feedback to students.
